About Wendy G. Nelson Pottery
Creating in the greater Boston area.
My clay work reflects my practicalness, and is inspired by my creative side. I create functional pottery in which I strive to balance purpose and design. All my pieces have evolved from a “use-need” at home or inspired by and when creating a gift for family and friends. Whether it be a fruit bowl, toothpick holder, tea/spoon coaster – each piece is functional, practical – and hopefully you’ll agree – all have a unique, pleasing design.
I was first introduced to clay when my mom and I signed up for a local class – helping to define a time each week for us to spend together no matter how busy we were. That first class was unexpectantly the start of so much more … While my mom and I don’t take classes together anymore, much of my work is still influenced by that time. And now we also share a pottery connection with my now-adult daughters.
From generation to generation. I hope my pieces inspire and might become part of your family connections and traditions for the generations too.
